If you think zombies are scary, wait until you see zombie kids! The Haunted Homestead, put on as a collaboration among the Trinity County Fairgrounds, the Hayfork High Theater Arts Department and Mountain Actors Workshop, will take place at the Fairgrounds on October 28 through 31 from 6-9 p.m. each night.
The Haunted Homestead is $5 for entry, and all ages are welcome. Proceeds for the Haunted Homestead admission will go toward the theater program to install and modernize the stage lights at the high school. There will also be a photo area for pictures "of your little goblins!"
Other events at the Fairgrounds throughout that weekend include hay rides and refreshments, and on Oct. 29 is a haunted skating night, Oct. 30 is a cake walk in the skating rink, and Oct. 31 is also a Trunk or Treat in the parking lot with the movie Hocus Pocus from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The hay rides will be $3 per person, with proceeds benefitting the 2023 Fair entertainment. The skating and cake walk events is sponsored by the Hayfork Lions Club.
You can contact the Fairgrounds for any questions at 530-628-5223.
