On May 28, the Hayfork High Athletics Department and Boosters Club grilled burgers and awarded student athletes for their efforts through the school year. Awards started with volleyball and football, went on to basketball, and then closed with baseball and softball. The student MVP awards were also given for each sport and the overall Athlete of the Year awards.
The official presentation of naming the gym after former Hayfork High coach Clifford Freer was also part of the evening's events. Freer's family attended as part of the ceremony to dedicate the gym. More details about the dedication can be found here.
